Mango Park Hotel Review

Address: General Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City, Philippines
Phone No. (63)(032) 233-1511

We stayed at the Mango Park Hotel during the first week of Greg's vacation.
I checked-in first and got entertained by aloof receptionists because I presented the hotel voucher without a valid I.D. But they found a way to let me check-in by depositing 2,000 pesos and giving it back after Greg checked-in. I took some pictures of the room as soon as I got in but I couldn't show the room pictures because they're on my broken camera which fell in the said hotel room.

Anyways, we got a standard room and it was plain, the interior design was horrible. The placement of the closet wasn't in a functional space. I hated the ugly painting because it looked like just a photocopy of a picture. But at least, the room was clean. The view from our room sucks, too.

They offer free breakfast which Greg commented as horrible but for me it was okay. We got to enjoy the swimming pool by ourselves. I must say the hotel has a good location because it's less than 30 minutes to get to the big malls--  Ayala and SM Mall. So if you're the type that's not keen on classy details in a place you wanna stay at then Mango Park Hotel is a choice for you.

A normal date!

Our first date at SM Mall Cebu City. We shared a dessert called Halo-halo in Ice Castle. Halo means mix and it has mixed ingredients but Greg didn't like it much because it had corn and coconut. LOL!

The Wow Plan!

Greg and I worked out the whole month of schedule while he's in the Philippines. It was my first time to plan and organize a travel itinerary. We encountered minor problems but we managed it well...

This is the plan we had smoothened out. The bold entries were the random/unexpected stuff we did.  Aside from sharing the pictures and videos of our travels, I am looking forward to posting our reviews about the places we stayed at because I believe it helps out other bloggers or tourists who are browsing for information about my country.

This is our Story.

Before Greg decided to visit me, we became a couple first, then backwards to how it all started.

On 2004, I started to enjoy playing battleships on Warcraft. I met Greg on one of the games I played he was a cheater then ( I mean on warcraft). I told him so and he wouldn't listen at first. After a few months of gaming, we knew each other's names. It took a few more years to learn each other's age, and height. All those time, he had a girlfriend and I was with someone (Eww!). But it was weird because we would subtly flirt at each other and that was it. I was in a few relationships while he was still with his girlfriend. Our genuine friendship started when we would share our ideas, problems and advices to each other. On warcraft, we were in a fantasy world where we could forget the real lives we led.

Sadly on 2007, his 8-year relationship with his girlfriend ended and I was surprised to receive an email from him telling me about it. It was a very tough time for him and  as a friend I wanted to help him but all i can do was reply to his email. Anyway, I got on my own life and had a job while Greg hopped to another relationship. By then, I stopped playing warcraft and it was a surprise again to see an email from him about another heartbreak. Barely 2 months later, I was broken hearted too and a few times already. I finally realized enough was enough. Because of it, I started playing warcraft after work hours. I talked with Greg again sometime January 2009 and the rest led to his vacation here. A vacation that's a start of something we both deserve after all this time -- each other.
